Radio Easter Eggs

Hello,

Here are some key codes that reveal hidden functions in XM receivers.( Some only work on the SKYFI, some only on the Roady)

123 - Demo Mode
207 - Diag Info Screens (press display 3 times)
211 - Reset Presets
226 - Diagnostic Mode (Factory Mode Enabled)
227 - Diagnostic Mode (Factory Mode Disabled)
232 - Turn on with no LEDs lit
321 - Unknown
602 - PC Connection Mode (XM Theater)
708 - Diagnostic Mode, first says "Busy - Clr Chn Table" after 3 seconds changes to "Done - Clear CHN Table"
716 - Diagnostic Mode (SkyFi Programming)
718 - Diagnostic Mode (Yoda Programming)

These codes are followed by the XM button on SKYFI and the tuning wheel on the ROADY.

Thanks for passing that list on! Smile
Some of those sonnd rather interesting. Shows that there is more than the good ol' 2-0-7 and 1-2-3.

I have a Roady, do I just enter 2-0-7 on the numeric buttons (presets?) and then press the tuning wheel? Doesn't seem to work... thanks.

That's all you should need to do
Then pressing the display button a few times will show the diagnostics.
They do look slightly different from those on the Sky-Fi

Your radio must be OFF before you begin. If you mess up, turn it on, and off again to reset.

I've NEVER been able to get the Sony PnP 1 signal meter to come up.

Hello,

To get to the signal info on the Sony PnP...

...hold down the number 5 preset button then press and hold the scroll wheel on top. Hold like this until the unit powers up then release. After power up, press the scroll wheel to bring up the menu. Two new menu items (Diag and BER) are now available. BER is the signal screen.

I might have missed this somewhere else, but other than the diagnostic code, has anyone found other codes for the SkiFi?

The 2-0-7 XM menu is very helpful for aiming your antenna.

The 2-3-2 XM is good for conserving your battery power.

Does the 2-3-2 XM mode work on Taos, or am I doing something wrong?
