"TuneDok" XM mount now available from Belkin

New from Belkin is the TuneDok. A simple mount designed to fit most cupholders in your vehicle. The package comes with four pieces;

1 TuneDok mount
1 Large Rubber Base
1 Small Rubber Base
1 Adapter cup for VW Jette/Golf and possible others.

Fit the appropriate size base into your cup holder, screw in the TuneDok mount, and slide your Roady or Skyfi XM receiver onto the mount. Its that simple. The TuneDok also has a cable management loops on either side so your wires wont just dangle all over the place. A nice design, and its XM Approved.

NOW AVAILABLE! http://store.myradiostore.com/tuforro.html

That looks a little nicer than the Arkon unit. I'm still trying to decide where to mount a Roady in my fiancee's car (2000 Alero) and this just may be the solution.

A great Roady accessory for moving from rental car to rental car! Then you don't just have to set it in the passenger seat and let it slide around. Smile

Actually, As much as I'd love for XM to be integrated into my head unit (part of the reason I've been waiting for XM Direct), I might actually cave and go with a mount like this for my Roady in my car, with a direct aux input instead. That way I get full display info, lots of presets (though I would probably use direct mode instead), and more. The only down-side to this is that it would block some access to my ham radio, which sits behind my cup holders.

I'll have to think about it more..... I'm not unhappy with my FM mod'ed Pioneer. Smile

I am a god damn genius,

I can't remember what post i described it, but that is what I made the 2nd say I had my Roady.

I couldn't find a good place to put the unit. I drive a '98 Grand AM. Well if you know the car know there is no place on the dash and there is no ashtray's either.

So I Took my mounting kit that came with the Roady and JB Welded it to the top of the removabale ashtray the cars come with. WaLa you have the above item.

Sad thing is to say is now I have the unit mounted up by the window on velcro, I couldn't see the unit and it took up a precious cup holder.

Stocker, what would we do with out you?

If only I had investers and the ability to get a patent!

It just like my Drunk-Opoly Game. It's hell a fun, but the whole patent and so on is not worth it I don't think. Besides its a few grand to get it and the patent attorny.

In comparison to put this in perspective. If the Game Passout = a case
Drunk-Opoly = a 16 Gal. Keg. No Sh@#.

That looks pretty bulky... I like the ARKON mount I got. It powers my Roady. They call it the SR085 Lighter Socket Mount.

What I like about the ARKON mounts is that all of their solutions have the male notch on them so they plug directly into the back of my Roady.

I have 4 of their mounts... the windshield Powered Mount for my Dell Axim Pocket PC, the Cup Holder mount, and the new 360 degree swivel vent mount.

Installation on all of these could not be easier as they all connect without tools. I see Ziggy sells a lot of the mounts on his site. They're all good in my book...

This is a perfect solution for a totally removable yet sturdy mount in my wife's explorer.
