Bushnell Onix400 - Review coming soon... :)

I just received my review unit of the Bushnell Onix400... I'll be taking photos of it later today, and playing with it over the coming days... should have a basic review of it soon. If there's anything you want to know, or questions you have about it, post 'em here and I'll try to answer them in my review. Smile

For those just looking for the basic info...

Ryan at Orbitcast got one also... he's already posted his unboxing pictures . Mine's been unboxed, but I didn't have a camera with me at work to take pictures. Sad

But between the two of us, I'm sure you'll get plenty of info about this GREAT device!

A few things I already like about it...
- The ability to monitor THREE XM channels no matter what screen you're looking at
- The scoreboard display, rather than a one-line scrolling ticker
- The amount of control over what gets displayed on the map... admittedly, more data = slower response when you do things like zooming in and out, but you also get a lot more info at once

I will have some photos this afternoon once I get home... they'll probably be quick, but I only have so much time between jobs. Smile I'll be playing with it over coming days... I have a long drive somewhere tomorrow, and an off-road trail run next weekend...

Ok... a quick photo and a couple of screen shots to hold you over... Maybe come up with some questions from looking at these...

Onix400 Unit
XM Radio screen
Map view with XM Preview
GPS Satellite view - This was taken from inside my apartment, showing how good the GPS receiver on this is!
The Settings list

Razz Very Happy Does this have all the same features as the Inno?
Do you have to have XM NAV or XM WX sub for the features to work?

What is XM WX Skywatch? Do you have any info on a home dock and if the weather portion would be able to be recieved through the antenna attached to the home dock?

If it's all sent via the same frequency, then yes. If not then no.

MAPS

Have you used the sat imagery for map view?
If so, can you advise if the image owner still wallpapers the image?

I read the Onix 200's usability suffered greatly due to the DigitalGlobal logo being printed in the background of all the sat photos?

Any luck downloading topos? I also read that obtaining maps from Bushnell's website could be a real pain, and I'm really hoping they've fixed their issues since the last model.
